Two standard composites resin systems are available. For most of the application polyester fire retardant (FR-P) is widely used. A vinylester composites fire retardant resin system (FR-VE) is used where strong acid (like hydrochloric acid), strong alkalis (like Caustic Soda), organic solvents and halogenated organic conditions exist. EFG Composites’ cable tray incorporates a synthetic veil on the surface of all structural shapes which causes a resin rich layer which enhances corrosion protection. An abbreviated guide can be provided on request to assist in the selection of the proper resin system for individual application.
EFG instrumentation tray is channel type & design for light loads. They are available in solid as well as ventilated construction. EFG cable tray is available in polyester as well as vinyl ester system.

GRP Perforated Cable Trays GRP cable trays made by EFG is fabricated out of different pultruded sections of advanced polyester & vinylester resins, manufactured by automatic pultrusion machine. GRP cable trays are good replacement of G.I/M.S cable trays, which tend to corrode, erode and spread heat thus leading to power interruptions. On the other hand GRP cable trays safe, durable, cost effective and easy to install. EFG manufactures these cable trays as per prescribed Specification.

In the Electrical wiring of Buildings / Malls / Cement Plant / Power Plant, a cable Tray system is used to support insulated electric cables used for power distribution & communication. Cable Trays are used as an alternative to open wiring or electrical conduit systems & are commonly used for cable management in commercial & industrial construction. They are especially useful in situations where changes to a wiring systems are anticipated, since new cables can be installed by laying them in the Tray, instead of pulling them through a pipe.
Common cable trays are made of Galvanised Steel, Stainless Steel or Aluminium. The material for a given application is chosen based on where it will be used. Galvanised tray may be made of pre-galvanised steel sheet fabricated into tray or may be hot dip galvanized after fabrication. When galvanized tray is cut to length in the field, usually the cut surface will be painted with a Zinc-rich compound to protect the metal from corrosion.
